Mother-Daughter Night

So I am not going to lie as excited as I was to have a mother-daughter night, I was so bummed that since there was only a couple of people that had been doing projects they changed the theme of the night.  So instead of getting to show our dollhouse the theme was about the different "hats" we wear as women.  We were asked to each wear some kind of fun/silly hat and come for a night of fun with the hats.  So off to Savers we went and picked out some silly hats for each of us to wear.

Mine a wide brimmed black hat with a ribbon.  Ave of course chose a huge sun hat with a gold ribbon around it and a big bow in the back.  Emma's was a cute pink felt cowgirl hat with a small silver stitched design on the front.
The girls were really excited that it was a night just for moms and girls even though we try to have special girls only times at our houses fairly regularly.

We got there and they had a little presentation with a speaker and a musical number.
All my girls could talk about was wanting some of the "cute" baby cupcakes at the dessert table.  Especially the ones with little pink and purple high heels on them.  They were so cute.
The split us into groups and had us do rotations between different activities.  The first thing we did was head to the primary room to get pictures of all the little girls in our group and then pictures of the girls with their moms in their hats.
Next we headed to the cultural hall to play some games....

Then we did a couple more activities and finally the girls were able to get their desserts and each eat a coveted high heel cupcake.  Just a fun night to be with my girls and have some fun together.  They are both so special and sweet to me.  Both so different in their little personalities but the sweetest sisters to each other and the fun girl things and gentle nurturing that they bring to our home brings such a softness.  I  am so grateful to have these two little ladies and love them so very much!!!!
