Trying to stay cool

Today we took the kids down to the Thunderbird splash park to try to stay cool. All of us are having a tough time adjusting back to the heat of the valley. The kids were so cute today splashing around in the water. Hunter and daddy enjoyed squirting each other with the squirt guns, even Avery was crawling around playing in it. It's hot, hot, hot.

Goodbye Prescott Valley

Well tomorrow we make our move down to the valley to start another adventure in our life. It is hard to believe how fast the last two years have gone here in PV. Deke and I both agreed that this place has really felt the most like "home" to us. We are both having a hard time leaving, especially to go down to the land of the insane heat. The last two years up here have been two years full of wonderful opportunities and blessings for our family. Even though it is hard we know that it is right and that it is time to go get Deke's schooling finished. Once he is done then we can really make our move and go where our hearts desire. Here are just a few things that we will miss... our house (above), our wonderful, wonderful ward family,

our great friends,

and yes, the nice weather.
Our memories and friends that we have made here will always have a special place in our hearts. Onward ever onward we head on our journey to our next destination.

Oh what do you do when it's packing time?

Well we are moving!!!! Back down to the ridiculous heat of the valley to let Deke finish up school at ASU. Two more years and he will be graduated and we can leave the heat and head wherever our hearts desire. The two years we have been here in Prescott Valley have gone so fast I know that the next two will also. All of the packing isn't bothering the kids at all, in fact they have found their own way to make good use of the boxes....

Sometimes it feels like your slipping away from me, growing up a little faster than expected. You joyfully charge forward excited about all that life offers. It is beautiful..really, truly beautiful. Yet there I am following a few steps behind. It's all right, you run ahead. I'll take a moment or two to celebrate and cherish the road behind you. I love you Hunter. Love Mommy.

There is just nothing like having time with my sisters. This weekend we went down to Dad and Lisa's to celebrate the kids birthdays and see the girls. We took family pictures, had cupcake eating contests, laughed, relaxed, and enjoyed each others company. Boy do I miss those girls when I go months without seeing them. Kimbre is heading back to BYU, Brenn is headed to college at Fullerton, and Marley is headed to high shool. It was hard to leave them but we sure had a great time. We love you girls!!!!!

Content

On a nice rainy day during monsoon season what could be better than snuggling up in the rocking chair. Who do you think looks the most content out of the three of them? I can't decide.
