Hunterbug

I can't believe that Hunter has turned five, it goes so fast. Here are some recent pictures of Hunter, a little bit about his birthday, and just a few of the things we love about him. Hunter lights up our house, he is "Mr. Personality" he has such a witty sense of humor and is way too smart for his own good. Hunter is seriously a hilarious child and keeps me laughing all the time.
He is a people person, there is no such thing as a stranger to him and he makes friends so easily. He has an amazing vocabulary, he started talking in full sentences at 18 months and has always used words that are very advanced for his age. He still refers to himself as Hunterbug or his full name "Hunter William Bugalicious Burch" He still calls his bum a "pinchable" and tells me all the time that he loves me 29 pounces (instead of pounds). He already has such a sweet little testimony of the gospel and is such a good big brother. He is so inventive and extremely creative and what else can I say but that he is sooooo special to Deke and I and our entire family. For his birthday I made some homemade meatball subs since they are his favorite Subway sandwich since he was like two. We went with Grandpa and Grandma McWhorter to SunSplash for the day and had a blast. But I think that one of his favorite parts of the day was getting to wake up and build his new Transformers with daddy. Hunter has the cutest freckles I absolutely LOVE THEM!!!

We weren't even thinking of having a baby yet when we got pregnant with Hunter, we just all of a sudden were. Hunter came into our lives and has brought more joy to us than can be expressed. He is such a special little person I can not even describe what I mean when I say that. We love you so much Bug, our big five year old!!

A Transformation has happened...

For quite a while now Hunter has only talked about two things, his birthday and his love of Transformers. This kid LOVES Transformers and there has been evidence of it all around the house. Let me show you some examples:
SCENARIO #1: One morning he asked if he could have one of Deke's old shoe boxes to play with. About ten minutes later I went in his room and he told me to "watch this" as he TRANSFORMED the box from this position:
to this position!!! Then proceeded to just as quickly transform it back into a box. I was floored at how inventive his little mind is and the creativity that he often possesses.

SCENARIO #2: One day Hunter was playing legos in his room and I walked in to find this....

His lego formed Transformers. I thought they were so cute I had to take some pictures of them.

SCENARIO #3: Hunter decided that he wanted to have a Transformer birthday party and so I bought all the necessary supplies. The next morning I wondered why he was sleeping so long until I went into his room and saw this little montage on his wall...

Yes, those are stickers all over his wall. The stickers that I was going to be using on the invitations of course.

SCENARIO #4: This is the final evidence that a birthday party is coming and a love for Transformers has fully been developed. The birthday invitations:

I will try to post in the next few days about his actual day. I am about two weeks behind on posting so beware for a mass posting to be coming soon including: our family olympics, a visit from our best friends the Grants, and some very cute five year old pics of Hunter.

Missy Moo turned 2!!

Well its that time of year again at the Burch household...birthday time. Avery turned two on the 24th, I can't believe that she is already two! Here are some of the cute quirky things that we love about Avery: By the way I can never get her to look at the camera but doesn't she have the prettiest top of a head? :)
* I have never fed her a food that she doesn't like she
likes everything
* She has a MAJOR shoe fettish :)
*Hunter started calling her "missy moo" when she was
a baby and it has stuck with her
*In the mornings she points to her head and asks for a "bow"
* She also loves to have her "cell" as she calls it
*She loves any variety of cracker especially graham

* She is afraid of the garage door opener
* She is very wary of new people

She is getting to be such a quirky, sweet little thing. She is quite a girly girl these days. She enjoyed a donut on her birthday and actually blew out the candles this year. Grandma Tobar gave her a princess outfit that she absolutely loves and she refuses to take off the shoes even at bedtime. The funniest thing is that even when she takes the shoes off she still walks on her tip toes as if she is still wearing them. Happy Birthday Miss Avery!!!
