Usually we read The Gingerbread Pirates and then make some gingerbread pirates of our own. This year mom found some "Ninjabread" cookie cutters and decided to try something different.
So we baked up these little masters of martial arts and let each kid make cookies in their favorite karate poses.
Then let them do their own decorating with frosting and small candies.....
They got them all decked out and then gave mom their best fighting moves...
Then they all joined forces on a plate to prepare for the oncoming attack, by their creators no less... noisy loud mouth man has teamed up with no mouth guy so they can balance out each others strengths and weaknesses. Evidently they both know how to kick.
These two are having a good old time pretty much unaware of what's about to happen to them. Oh ignorance can be bliss.
Poor old blue eyes here looks scared to death and is definitely in more of a running position if anything...and is the guy to the right of him waving nervously??? Yeah buddy, not sure how well friendly tactics are going to work right now.
Clearly these two are going to have to carry the bulk of the defensive action. Fight hard little ninja dudes, good luck!
