Baptism dress

We had been looking online for a couple of months.  Most of them were too shiny or looked too young.  We found a couple that we liked that were way overpriced.  We went to the boutique where we got her blessing dress and found one that we almost went with.  Then we decided to go check the department stores at the mall for a white dress fancy enough to be a baptism dress but also something she could wear on any Sunday to church.  When we found this one at Dillards and she put it on we all loved it right away.  Totally lace with sheer sleeves and a small ribbon across the middle.  It was adorable on her and perfect for a summertime baptism.  The girls and I went one afternoon together to buy it and then pick out shoes, earrings and something for her hair.  It was one of those fun mom/daughter shopping days.  One Sunday evening a couple of weeks before her baptism, Deke and I took her over to Joe's farm grill and I took some pictures of her in her dress for an announcement.

One thing that she was so excited about was getting to have her first pair of high heeled shoes.  Shoes rank high up in Ave's world of things she loves.  She instantly chose these cute white heels with a thin strap and an open toe.  She loves them and tries to wear them everyday.
It was so nice to go with her just Deke and I and shoot some pictures.  She is so photogenic.  That sweet white dress and her beautiful tan skin and big brown eyes.  Looking at this picture of her she looks older than eight to me...
She is so beautiful and we are all really excited to see her be baptized.
