We went night swimming with the kids the other night. Hudson floated around the pool on his race car in his diaper and Emma kicked around in a butterfly boat. Hudson loved it until the pool light would shut off for a minute to cool down and then he would panic and say out, out, until it turned on again a minute later.
Deke and I taught the kids how to do handstands underwater, took turns sitting on the bottom of the pool in meditation pose, had a diving contest and played endless rounds of marco polo. We played for two hours in the dark until the kids were getting sleepy and we headed in for ice cream. After showers and pjs all four of them were out in a matter of minutes. Something about spending an entire summer day having fun in the pool.
