the mud continues...

The kids spent a lot of time hanging out at the muddy playground. It is fun because they have the playground, a whole bunch of inflatable toys and playhouses everywhere to play in. The volunteers are walking around with giant hoses keeping the ground muddy everywhere. They have buckets and shovels all over the place for making mud pies or castles or just dumping mud from one place to another. Emma was particularly interested in the dry mud clumps that she could actually hold onto and carry from one place to another.
Both Ave and Em loved the playhouses going in and out and playing hide and go seek.

Or playing in the play kitchen and dumping mud into the different shelves and cupboards.

Look at the layer of mud caked on her little shoes...

After three muddy hours we headed home for a round of about two showers each to get it all off. We all got into comfy clothes spread out blankets on the living room floor, closed all the blinds, ate some Subway and fruit and then took a nice long afternoon snooze off and on while watching Chronicles of Narnia. Perfect Saturday as a family. See you next year mud.
