These two in their one of their many matching outfits. Posing for a few cute shots. I can't believe that Emma is standing already. Not walking but standing she looks too little to be able to do this

Springtime
There are definitely many signs of springtime around the Burch household this month. We are all enjoying the gorgeous eighty degree weather, trips to the park and bike riding, leaving the doors open in the evenings to let in the breeze it is wonderful. We planted our garden a few weeks ago. This year we planted peas, carrots, white and red radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers, zuchinni and watermelon. It is doing so much better than last year. We have a really small space to work with but we are doing what we can with it. Deke built a lattice for the pea plants to climb up with their vines and they have just started flowering. The radishes should be ready to harvest any day. We were worried if any of the watermelons would take off so we planted all twelve seeds and to our surprise all twelve popped up so we will see where that goes. The kids have loved helping weed and water the garden and watch the plants grow. Emma loves to stand by the back door and watch Deke water the plants. She taps on the window with her hands until he turns around and sprays the glass with the hose to which she giggles with delight. It will be really fun for them when we can pick some and actually eat them. We are also going to grow our own pumpkins this year which we will probably plant in July. Conference weekend we had our traditional waffle and strawberry breakfast with Dev and Laura which the kids always get excited about. After the first session we went over to a little park with a lake that they keep stocked with fish and let the kids do a little fishing. Ave was a hoot. Hunter of course acutally managed to catch one but not with a pole instead a few kernels of corn and a small net. How a fish that tiny could even eat corn is beyond me you would think the poor guy would choke to death. He was thrilled and kept it in a tupperware all day until we told him it had to go back to the lake and then he was a little disappointed. I just am not ready to have anymore fish since the loss of Larry, Gary and Nick recently. We need a fish break. The kids seem to just be enjoying time together. Miss E and Hunter one Saturday morning watching cartoons together:
Or how about this sweet fort that Hunter and Ave made for the three of them to play in the other day. They had a blast. They have so much fun together. I mean they still have their little sibling things now and again but overall they play together so well. They even make sure to include Emma. I am loving the springtime, soaking it in before the dreaded heat comes. Thank goodness for spring.

Seeing the picture of the blankets draped over the couches reminded me when our children did that. They called it "a dark day". They would even drape them over the bunkbeds and play in the bedroom. They used to do it with a card table, too. Your blog is fun to watch, especially seeing the children grow up so fast. Thanks for sharing.
