The Bakery

The kids love the show Cake Boss. They love seeing what kinds of different cakes Buddy and his crew come up with.  I love Sunday afternoons after church because the kids are always busy playing something imaginative all together.  Sometimes its giant living room forts or You Nork (their city with different stores), this particular afternoon they asked me if they could have a cardboard box and make their own bakery. So I printed off some "cake" forms for them.  Soon they had set up shop, were taking customers and making cakes.
They rotated being cashier's, customers, and cake designers.  Deke and I of course got to join in on the fun.
 Emma's five tier masterpiece :)
Hunter did an excellent job creating mom's wish for an Artic themed cake...
Avery made an awesome cardinal cake for dad....
They made all sorts of cake designs for their customers.  Hudson ran the register for the majority of the time :) :)

His favorite part was using the microphone to call people's names out.
Once the cakes were all created they set them up on display for people to come in and order. They had quite the little set up going on.  Fun to get prepped for Ave's Cake Boss birthday party coming up in July.  We are going to try our hand at actual small cake decorating.
