Ghost pancakes

After a month long of constant Halloween fun to do's we woke up on Halloween morning to do the kids favorite activity. Over carving pumpkins, doing crafts or playing Halloween games my kids love to make their ghost pancakes. It has been fun to look back over the years of the kids doing this. It really is such a simple simple thing but I guess because they have been doing it for as long as they can remember they look forward to it and love it. We hadn't done them yet and so the night before Halloween we told them that it was a school morning so we probably wouldn't get to do them this year. The next morning Deke and I got up extra early and got everything ready to surprise them. Avery came out of her room and saw Deke standing over the warming griddle. A big grin spread across her face as she ran into Hunter's room. "Mom and Dad were just teasing us Hunter, they are making ghost pancakes!!!" she told him. Soon both were racing out to the kitchen to take their turn to make their ghosts.
A few of their finished products :)Hunter said the ghost of the left was a Chinese ghost :) :)Then of course their favorite part, you know the eating part.Of course my dearest Potterified child had to give one of his ghosts a version of a lightning bolt scar. Deke made Emma some ghosts and then even threw in a couple of jack o lantern pancakes. They are really cute, good job Deke. He never ceases to impress me :) At first she just kept looking at their faces and checking them out and showing us grinning. I don't even think she realized they were pancakes at first she was so intrigued by their chocolate faces. She is so flippin adorable. Smiley baby holding smiley pancake. Happy Halloween morning everybody.
