Class parties

Halloween afternoon we headed to the kids school for the Parade of costumes. The entire school goes around the field out by the playground and does a parade in their costumes for everyone to see. The kids love it. After the parade we first headed into Hunter's room for his class party. Mrs. Painter had different stations of activities, crafts and snacks set up for the kids. Deke and I were put in charge of the snack station and helped each kid made a bat treat out of a zinger, Oreos, candy corn and some M&M's. Hunter was so cute with Emma picking her up and having her sit on his lap. Showing her all the things in his desk and introducing all of his friends to her. Slipping her an M&M every now and again when he thought we weren't looking.

They ate a ton of sugar made a fun haunted house craft and played some different games. There was actually a lot of parents there and it was really a lot of fun.
Mrs. Painter's oldest daughter was a peacock as well. So we had to get a picture of the two of them. Then we headed over to Ave's party which I hate to say it after Hunter's was a bummer. When we walked in the kids were sitting in the room watching a movie. They had had a snack and then watched a video, that's it. I was bummed since it is kindergarten and this is her first class party. Not only that but when we got there she was already out of her costume because the teacher had them all changing. It was kind of a bummer. It did crack me up though that when we walked into her classroom a little boy said "Uh does anybody know that we have a peacock in our classroom?" Then a little girl asked, "Avery is that your sister peacock?" They all really like Emma's costume. I personally loved the little guy sitting at Ave's table that was dressed as Sonic the hedgehog his costume rocked. She at least got to show us her cubby and stuff at her desk. Again show Emma off to all her friends. Had a chance to grab a quick pic of her and Sophia and then it was time to head home to rest up for a brief moment before trick or treating.
