It's the end of October and it is finally in the eighties. Some days, when we are lucky. We are loving getting to actually enjoy playing outside for more than twenty minutes with water bottles and sunscreen. The mornings and evenings have been gorgeous. With a nice cool breeze that makes you want to go for a morning run or let the kids use chalk on the driveway. I love it. We told the kids to get their shoes we were going to go and play outside. Hunter grabbed his glove, Ave hopped on her bike and Emma grabbed a babydoll and toddled out behind them. Emma kept following Avery while she rode her bike and trying to catch the random balls that got away from Hunter. Giggling everytime she saw a bird or bunny. Picking up every stick, rock, piece of anything on the ground. Finding flowers and trying to smell them. Picking them and bringing them over and dropping them in my hand.Playing with the pumpkins on the front porch. Putting the bats wings off and on and off again. Taking the pipe cleaner legs out of the spider and then proclaiming "uh oh" even though it was clearly done intentionally :)Picking them up and carrying them to different spots in the yard and then after a few minutes picking them up and putting them back in their orginal spots.Hunter and Deke playing catch until their arms are both sore. Hunter's pitching arm getting stronger everyday. Avery calling to me to "watch this Mom" as she rides her bike standing up with only one hand on the handlebars and then makes a tricky hand switch. Emma clapping, amazed as she watches her, ignoring me as I ask her for a quick kiss for Mommy. Baby ponytails bouncing as she heads back up the sidewalk, pumpkin in tow. Give me fall all year long.
