Carving time.

The last couple of years we have set a table up outside and carved pumpkins in the driveway, the weather is nice and it feels great to be outside.  I love the fact that the kids enjoy the carving and love to do it themselves.  I was so excited to let Hudson get his hands inside and feel the seeds.  It didn't bother him at all but he did keep trying to eat them.
I am always impressed with the way Hunter and Avery clean out, design, and then carve their pumpkins completely on their own.  They do a great job.  This year Hunter used the electric carving knife part of the time.  He always gets really quiet and focused when he is working on his.  I still crack up at Avery because she still HATES the seed part and makes funny faces the entire time she is cleaning her pumpkin out.  She has never liked it.

Emma is the opposite and like her mom loves to pull out the seeds.  She will pull out a few handfuls then stop and wipe off her hands on her towel and then back to work she goes repeating the process.
Then mom asks for a turn and takes over for her :) :) :)
The sun had gone down and they finished carving to the light of the garage. We all enjoyed dinner off the grill outside, watching our jack o lanterns.
