Ave's sunflowers

It has been so neat to watch Ave's sunflowers grow from tiny seeds to these huge, beautiful flowers.  I love that she planted them all along the fence.  In the morning I love opening my blinds and looking outside and seeing their bright yellow against all the boring brown.  They finally grew taller than the fence and we love that we can see them from the road when we drive by.
I can't believe how many seeds each one holds and their heads have been getting heavy and starting to bend over as the seeds are growing.
Avery loves them and has taken such good care to water them and go out and "measure" their growth.  We have taken pictures of them next to her as they have grown.  This flower is the tallest one....
We are going to see if we can harvest all their seeds and roast them.  Hope they will continue to grow and be able to withstand the heat.
