For quite a while now Hunter has only talked about two things, his birthday and his love of Transformers. This kid LOVES Transformers and there has been evidence of it all around the house. Let me show you some examples:SCENARIO #1: One morning he asked if he could have one of Deke's old shoe boxes to play with. About ten minutes later I went in his room and he told me to "watch this" as he TRANSFORMED the box from this position:
to this position!!! Then proceeded to just as quickly transform it back into a box. I was floored at how inventive his little mind is and the creativity that he often possesses.
SCENARIO #2: One day Hunter was playing legos in his room and I walked in to find this....

His lego formed Transformers. I thought they were so cute I had to take some pictures of them.

SCENARIO #3: Hunter decided that he wanted to have a Transformer birthday party and so I bought all the necessary supplies. The next morning I wondered why he was sleeping so long until I went into his room and saw this little montage on his wall...

Yes, those are stickers all over his wall. The stickers that I was going to be using on the invitations of course.

SCENARIO #4: This is the final evidence that a birthday party is coming and a love for Transformers has fully been developed. The birthday invitations:

I will try to post in the next few days about his actual day. I am about two weeks behind on posting so beware for a mass posting to be coming soon including: our family olympics, a visit from our best friends the Grants, and some very cute five year old pics of Hunter.

After the party each of the grandkids had prepared a talent and we did a talent show for them. Hunter did a little break dancing since he has recently told us that he is "headed to Vegas after preschool to be on So You Think You Can Dance." Avery did a little dancing herself as well as some of her famous version of push ups.
My family is so It was a very special, emotional weekend for me. I had so much fun laughing and visiting with everyone. I could not stop thinking about how much life happens in fifty years. I think of everything that has happened in my marriage after only six years and marvel at the journey of that many years together.
My grandparents have seen and been through so much and yet have still walked together side by side through it all. In a world where it seems as if no one stays married for very long anymore it is refreshing to have good examples to look at. To see them sitting next to each other holding hands and reflect on their journey to this point was very touching for me. I love them very much, look up to them, and am enjoying my own journey. Hopefully we will be back in contact with the computer world soon.
I can't believe that
